Creative Movement /Preschool 1 - Age 2.9 -3 1/2
(45 Minutes weekly)
Our outstanding preschool program is based on a fun, well-organized atmosphere. Our main goal is to develop a positive attitude toward dance and learning. We create a fun and exciting environment. In order to have FUN and enjoy this class, your child must be secure in an independent environment, as parents do not stay in the class. Although our preschoolers learn many skills to help their physical development and coordination, our primary goal is to teach them how to learn. Using age-appropriate songs and dance, we build on nurturing the natural love of music and movement. We provide a stimulating yet structured classroom specifically designed for this age child. This class offers a variety of ballet, tumbling, and creative movement while using wands, ribbon dancers, hula hoops and more. Your childs imagination and creativity will shine through in this class. Ballet slippers and proper dance attire are required. Dress up costumes are not allowed.
Preschool ll / Ages 3 1/2 - 5 1 hour weekly
Introductory dance class for children this age lay the foundation for future study in dance technique and enriches the child in five areas of development: physical, creative, social, cognitive and emotional. In this class your child will gain self-control, joy in movement, body awareness and taking turns. In tap the accompanying music and sing alongs give children clues to the tempo and beat, helping them to set the mood of their dance. In pre-ballet the child is further challenged physically and introduced to dance class etiquette. Cognitive skills of counting, sequencing, spatial awareness and immersion in a second language (French) are basic to every dancer, beginner through professional. French ballet terms are used from the beginning. The preschool ll combination tap and ballet class consists of a happy blend of songs and dances and is designed for the older 3 year old. Activities such as the parachute and freestyle creative movement highlight the conclusion of our class. Ballet and tap shoes are required as well as proper dance attire. Dress up costumes are not allowed.
Beginner-Advanced (ages 5 and up)
Dance l One hour combination class of tap, hip hop, jazz and ballet. This class is for the beginner kindergarten level.
Dance ll 1 hour or 1.30 minutes combination class of tap, ballet and hip hop jazz. Classes are leveled by age and abilities.
Dance lll 1 hour & 30, minutes -2 hours Combination class. Classes are offered in Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip hop jazz, Broadway jazz and pointe. (Pointe students will be evaluated before entering a class)
CLASS PLACEMENT
Our studio uses a system of levels to match students as closely as possible within each class and subject. All students are placed at their appropriate level, according to the teacher. Previous experience and age are always taken into consideration but ABILITY is the key to their correct placement.
Proper dance attire must be worn to all classes. Students may wear leotards and tights or form fitting dance t-shirts and dance capris. Hair must be pulled back in either a bun or ponytail. The proper and correct dance shoes must be worn in class. Dancing in bare feet or inappropriate shoes may result in injury and will not lead to to optimum technical development. For your convenience, complete dance attire and dance shoes are available for purchase at the dance studio.
DANCE TEAMS
This is an opportunity for interested and talented students to perform in a professional environment. Competitive dancing teaches our children good sportsmanship, drive and determination, all of which are qualities we want exemplified throughout our lives. This is a growing experience for the dancer, highlighting a positive attitude, self-esteem and dedication.

"AMERICAN GIRL DINNER PARTY!"
Friday June 11th , Friday July 2nd 5:30-7:00pm
Everyone has a special doll, so bring yours and join us for our first American Girl Dinner Party of 2010. We will do a dance choreographed for you and your doll, make a craft, play games and have a ball. There will be a special table set just for your doll. The cost if $15.00 per week.
"POP STAR MUSICAL"
July 13,14,15,16 9:30-12:00 noon
If your child loves to sing and dance to all their favorite songs and learn the hottest new dance steps, this is the place for them. We will focus on age appropriate hip hop dancing and music that your kids will love. They will not only learn high energy hip hop choreography but basic dance technique as well. On the last day of camp the girls will have a pizza party, dress up in their favorite diva outfit and make a special dance video. Daily snacks are also provided. The cost for the 4 days is $110.00.
"CHEERDANCE"
SESSION 1 June 22,23,24,25 9:30 AM-12:00 NOON
SESSION 2 August 9,10,11,12 9:30 AM-12:00 NOON
Here's your chance to be a cheerleader. The girls will learn a cheer dance routine, and learn basic cheers chosen just for them. Beginner stunts and tumbling will also be incorporated in the dances. Each day we will make a cheerleading craft. On the last day we will have a pizza party! Daily snacks are also provided. The cost for the 4 days is $110.00.
"HIP HOP DANCE PARTIES"
June 25th, July 9th, July 23rd, Aug. 6th, Aug. 20th
6:00-7:30 ALL AGES WELCOME
Hot moves for cool kids. This class is an open registration. Our weekly program features a warm-up segment, moves across the floor and short routines that are easy to learn and fun to do. All of our music is age appropriate. This class is 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of open dance. The cost is $15.00 per week.
FOR ALL CAMPS AND CLASSES:
Dance clothes or shorts should be worn. Dance shoes or clean sneakers are required. No one may participate in bare feet, flip-flops or sandals. Hair must be in a pony tail or pulled off the face.
TO REGISTER FOR CAMPS:
Select your camp(s) and send in your full tuition to hold a spot. New students must fill out a registration form. All classes must be paid in full before your camp starts. There are no refunds. A minimum of 10 students must be enrolled in each class
